Google Doodles

Today we explored Google Doodles that pop up on their main search page.  There are many doodles and some are actually games.  My favorite games were hurdles, basketball, and Soccer.  There are also some funny doodles, like for example a valentine love one where Google pairs up animals by swinging them around in a ferris wheel.  Google changes this doodle every day or every other day.  All you have to do to access it, is click on the About Google link and then scroll down and click on the view all doodles link.  Google Doodles are hilarious and are really fun to play.

Google Drive on the iPad

Today our class discussed the advantages and disadvantages of Google Drive on the app and on Safari on your iPad.  Personally I preferred the web version on the desktop the best, then the app, and least of all Google Drive on the internet on my iPad.  I liked the desktop version the best because you had the most arrange of choices for what type of project you want to make.  On the app you can only make a spreadsheet or word document.  I also found it easier to collaborate on the desktop version.  Although you can send an email to someone to collaborate on the iPad app it was easier on the computer.  Also, it is easier to edit the spreadsheet and word document on the desktop.  Finally I tried the computer version on Safari on the iPad, but I found that it kept flipping back and forth from the real computer version to the app, which really confused me.  I liked Google Drive much better on the desktop version.

Google Drive

Today in class we learned about Google Drive.  This is an interesting thing because like the Mac and Microsoft applications you can make a spreadsheet or write an essay and much, much more.  However something different is that you can share your projects so that anyone can get on your project, or only certain selected people may access what you have created.  Another interesting thing however is that you can chat with the people on your application.  This is also handy because it can be accessed on Mac, Microsoft and everything else.  I would undoubtedly tell a friend about this amazing tool.  Here is an image of the logo.

Animated Text

Today my class explored animated text on the computer for your blog.  I explored two websites, glowtxt.com and flashvortex.com.  I created many glowing animation, but here are my two favorites.  The one that is animated is from Flash Vortex and the hello one is from Glow Text.  If you like these put one on your website or in one of your blog posts.  Unfortunately the html code will not work for Glow Text so you must download a GIF file.

Google Gravity

As you might have seen on my classmates blogs yesterday they explored Google Gravity.  Unfortunately I was not available to be with them, so today I explored Google Gravity.  I think this is hilarious being able to throw google's signature pieces around and would recommend someone to try it.  Here are a couple of snapshots from me exploring Google Gravity from my iPad.  I believe the coolest part of it, is that the links and search bar still work.

Finally I wanted for you to know some quick tips about Google Gravity.  Click here to go to Google gravity or click here to learn about some tips to Google Gravity.
